Play in front wheel 850 1995

Just rotated tires and noticed that there is some movement in the front drivers side tire. Holding the tire at 12 and 6 I get about a 1/4" maybe 1/2" worth of movemnent at the top and bottom. There is no movement on the pasenger side front. Taking the tire off I can move the rotor as well until it hits or stops when it comes in contact with the brake pad????????

Any suggestions as to the problem or is this normal. I have no vibration in the steering wheel at any speed. Thanks
