I'm clearing the codes and still going! 850 94

I have been getting code 131 (socket A1) and the MAF sensor error for a while (forgot what the error was). I took the connection loose from the MAF sensor to see if there was a loose connection. Everything seemed fine. I cleared the code and I have not received any errors codes for it in two weeks. I guess the connection must have been loose.

The 131 is still around. I'll clear the code and the car runs fine. A few days later it may show back up but I have went a whole week with it coming back. I received the worst problem this weekend. My wife drove the car all day Friday with the tranny lights flashing (amber up shift arrow and the Econ/Sport lights). I drove the car Saturday to check it out and it started out fine but on the way back home (a 30 minutes round trip test ride)I experienced some serious problems. The tach started flipping between zero and 2500 RPMs (the engine was not revving, it was smooth) and the car lost most of it's power. After about 20 seconds of this it started running fine.

I made it back home and I cleared the 131 code. I drove it to the babysitter and work (one hour trip) today. I had NO flashing tranny lights and no problems.

Has anyone ever heard of this happening before? I read a recent posting on the 131 code. Disassemble part of the subassembly to take off the tranny pan and look for loose wiring and/or replace the STH sensor. It was also mentioned the the ECU for the tranny could be bad. My thoughts are as long as I can clear the codes and the car runs fine, I'm not worrying about it. Once something goes kaput, I'll fix it.

Any thoughts?
