If finally happened to me - this morning I shifted to "3" to run the engine at 4000 rpm for 5 min (is this really needed?). At some point solid arrow started flashing, CHECK ENGINE was set, and after I shifted to "D" it still stayed on 3rd gear.
I restarted engine (in N, while driving), transmission started shifting normally. When I came to work I pulled 322 code from A1, reset it and everything is clean now. The transmission never showed any problem before, and the fluid is still reddish after I flushed it last fall.
Thanks to this great group I took this as a normal event. If I was not reading posts here I would probably ended up at Volvo service, very anxious, with heart pumping.
Now, I remember John O. mentioned that 322 (Incorrect gear ratio) is a bad code, worse that a usual 313 code from PNP switch.
Something I have to mention - I had some arrow blinks while switching from P to R or D on cold mornings (no codes or constant flashing, just a quick blink).
So, am I facing something big, or this could be just some intermittent PNP switch signal?
