I have an XC70 with about 155K on the car. I have noticed that if I let the car idle for a warm up period of approximately 5-10 minutes, there is a tremendous oil smoke cloud when I drive away. If I only let the car warm up for a couple minutes and drive off there is no oil smoke cloud what so ever.
Question is this, could there be oil leaking into the turbo chamber during the warm up of a longer time period and then moving into the intake or is there something else that could cause this? Anyone seen this before?
