Just a few 850 turbo questions 850 1996

Ok, I have a few basic questions regarding the 1996 Volvo 850 turbo. I previously owned a 1988 Volvo 740 turbo. That car was pretty nice, and I'm sure would have kept running forever. But I ended up selling it and moving over to the "musclecar" side. I currently own a 1994 Camaro Z28. However, my mom owns a 1996 Volvo 850 turbo which I have an opportunity to drive on occasion, and will probably end up owning after she is done with it. My first question is what is the stock boost on this car? How much boost could I safely run on it(I've heard 13.3psi)? I've also heard that because of the cpu configuration just upping the boost won't help too much because the cpu will change to fit the new boost level, is this true? Those are just some of the basic questions I have right now. Thanks.
