10W-30 vs 5W-30 Engine Oil?? 850 1997

Quick question here. I use Amsoil 5W-30 in all my other cars except my Volvo 850 GLT, Amsoil 10W-30. Would it be OK (not violate warranty!!!) to use 5W-30 in it as well. I understand that 5W-30 will give you a larger temp range. Also, I live in Memphis, TN. Not that cold, but definately hot in the summer.
