Castrol GTX 20w50 motor oil? S70 1998

I used to just Castrol GTX 20w50 motor oil in my Jaguar XJS (5.3L V12) exclusivly, and had wonderful proformance. Does anyone know of any problems associated with the use of this oil in a non-turbo S70? I noticed that 10w30 seems to be the preference. Why?
