Front strut top rubber cap cracked S70 1998

I had my bilsteins installed today and the mech told me that the front strut top mounting rubber cap is cracked. Is there a call for concern or can I run a couple more thousand miles with the little crack? The rubber cap is just on top of the strut dust cover boot.
