timing belt S70 1998

My S70 check engine light came on. I have 78,000 mi on car. When I took it to the shop, they said I missed the 60,000 mi service ($560). This caused the "flame guard?" valve to clog, which caused pressure build up in the crank case and caused the rear main seal to begin leaking. In addition they said the timing belt is supposed to be cahnged at 70,000 mi. I have always serviced (oil, filters) every 5000 and the last dealer service was 50,000 ($195) What should I do?
