I recently pulled the entire dash from my 850 to do the dreaded ac evaporator replacement. A couple of the front mounts holding the dash to the firewall busted during removal - the screws mount from under the cowl on the wiper motor to the plastic tabs on the interior dash.

Now I found a '97 850 turbo, from which I removed the dash top pad (not the entire dash) and it looks like i can maybe remove the top frame of the dash to get the piece that has the screw mounts, without pulling the whole dash. Anyone have an idea if this will work, or do I need to pull the entire dash board? I'm also assuming that all 850's have same dash components that are inter-changable - can someone confirm that also?
