RPM at startup S80 1999

At start-up from cold, the engine revs up to 2000 RPM before it settles down to a steady idle.

I also started a 2003 s60 from cold, same situation, engines speeds to 2000RPM for a few seconds before it settles to an an idle

Both cars approx 130,000 miles on odometer.

What could the problem be?
