Worked fine until the end of this winter. V70 2004 NA 235k miles.
I took off the interior panel on the tailgate, removed the arm on the outside, freed up the electrical connector and disconnected the washer fluid line before I removed the three 10mm bolts and removed the unit from the car.
I opened the back by removing the torx screws. Pulled the back cover with the washer supply tube, and withdrew the drive gear assembly and the drive shaft. I cleaned up the shaft with a scotchbrite pad and lubed the shaft with grease. Reassembled and reinstalled, and it did the same thing as before.
I thought it might be the three electrical fingers and the contact plate on the drive gear, so I took it out and took it apart and cleaned it up with a rag and scotchbrite pad. Reassembled and reinstalled, same problem.
What did I overlook here?
Washer nozzle is broken off at the end of the washer supply tube. I plan to thread a small screw inside of it and use that to pull it out.
