1989 t5 Is it worth buying? S70 1998

Looking for a car for my son and saw this t5 for sale in craigslist for $4.5k Talk to the owner and saying it is well taken cared car. But I found out transmission fluid was not changed at all since after 130k+ miles, it has 153k at this momemt. Any thoughts about the condition of that transmission? is it still ok or too worn out already considering the miles it ran w/o a fresh fluid?
It's crazy, looking at volvos maintenace record book, it never mention of changing the fluid at all, it just says check/refill and maybe that is what this novice are relying on. I use to have 4 volvos and pampered them good.
