1998 S70 230k miles running rich, MAF had 44 ohms at pins 1 & 2 S70 1998

1998 S70 230k miles running rich, MAF had 44 ohms at pins 1 & 2

ERROR Codes:p1298,p1509,p0113,p0118
I have trouble relating these codes to Volvo meanings.
- o2 sensors are old
The Coolant Temp Sensor ECT near thermostat has perfect resistance both hot and cold, just like a new unused one.
The ETS has great throttle resistance reading both at idle and floored (1000 and 2600 ohms).

The housing of the MAF has embossed, looking from driver's seat, '3 2' for mid 2 of 4 pins.
Assuming the pins are sequentially orders that gives '4 3 2 1'
Using this ordering I get
Pins 1 - 2 44 ohms
pins 4 - 2 68 ohms
As you can see below in data I gathered from Volvo sites
the 2 - 1 pins resistance should be around 10.6 ohms.

QUESTION:
Is this proof positive that I need a new MAF assembly?

Many Thanks, Mark

The car starts well, idles ok, runs well, has good acceleration.
Occasionally I see puff of black smoke. Tail pipe is very sooty.
Intermittently I smell gasoline in the cabin. I can not tell you
yet the situations that cause the gas smell. It is usually not present.

Browsing here I have made a list of major causes for
running rich, which appears at the bottom of this message.

-----------DATA FROM WEB FOLLOWS ----------------------

Major causes of black smoke S70

-Fuel Pressure regulator
-Coolant Temp Sensor
Resistance for various temperatures
ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE TABLE
Temperature F ( C) Ohms
32 (0) .............................................. 7300
68 (20) ............................................. 2800
176 (80) ............................................. 300
212 (100) ............................................ 150

-Air Filter
-Throttle Position Sensor (ETS)
1998 C/S/V70 TPS resistance measured between terminals 1 and 3:
Good if:
Idle 900 - 1100 ohms
Full load 2300 - 2900 ohms.

- Electronic Throttle Module (ETM) problem 1999 and later
- MAF (Mass Air Flow)
The only reading you get is between #1 and #2 terminals MAF = 10.6 ohms
