My car has been serviced as per Volvo's instructions at 7,500 and 15,000 miles. At the 15,000 mile service the tires were rotated and I was told by the Volvo dealer that "the tires are fine". At 16,000 miles the rear tires were completely worn on the inside and had to be replaced immediately. The car was aligned (it was not badly out of alignment)and all tires were balanced. The two tires that were in the front are now in the rear and two new tires are in front. The rear tires are noisy and do not seem to be riding well. Volvo is being completely un-helpful ("tires are a wear item and are out of warranty"). However, tires should last longer than 16,000 miles!
My understanding is that:
1- Many owners of C70 have this problem.
2- Pirelli P6000 tires are prone to have this problem.
Can anyone comment?
Thanks!
