Daughter's '95 850 stalled three times then refused to start. Looking for experienced and competent diagnosis in Brooklyn. Any referrals will be appreciated.

Background. Towed to a shop and was told "bad engine" - but no actual diagnosis. Recommendation: replace engine, $2,500.
