I noticed the dust boot wasn't covering the piston when I did my last brake job 5 years ago. Now the piston looks really rusty. Time for a new caliper. I don't think rebuild kits include a piston although I see Tasca shows a $13 and $57 rebuild kit. I don't feel like trying a rebuild, but any BTDT on the $57 kit?
Is it worth shelling out and buying this ATE caliper from volvo? $145 discounted to $200 plus core shipping.
I've got some time, car is not currently registered. Original owner though.
