The downshift arrowhead started flashing and the check engine light came on, the transmission got stuck on third gear, but the car runs fine the next day. The diagnostic code is A1-2-2-2. However, the mechanic tested the solenoids independently, and they are apparently fine, he couldn't find any faults. This happens twice, or three times a week. I talked to the Service Manager from the local dealer, and he told me that they have replaced several solenoids, but this repair does not guarantee a solution to the problem, since they have also replaced several transmissions. My car has 83,000 miles on it, and I can't think of needing a new transmission.
