I'm going to look at a 1998 V70 AWD tomorrow. I would like to know if I will be able to see if the rear drive shaft is in place without crawling under the car. Is it visible from the engine compartment? Does it run down the centerline of the car or is it off to the right side? There is snow on the ground here, and I would rather not have to be on the ground much. Could I use a mirror to look? I'm looking for suggestions. I am a 240 guy who is looking for a more modern car. Thanks!
