Lifespan of water pump 850 1996

I was wondering what the average lifespan of a water pump is on an 850 turbo wagon? I have just short of 100,000 miles and I'm replacing the timing and serpentine belts, so I thought if my mechanic is in there, should he replace the water pump as well? On the other hand if water pumps on 850's rarely die, then I won't worry about it.
