Hi all,
The manufacturer sticker on my S40 says to use 39 psi in front tires and 36 psi in rear tires (tire size 195/60/15). Today when I checked the air in my tires all of them were about the same, and 2 months ago my Volvo dealer rotated my tires. So, I think the dealer used the same pressure on all 4 tires. I am wondering if most people inflate all 4 tires to the same pressure, or if you use different pressure in front versus rear tires?
Also, the same sticker that shows tire pressure also says the car is intended for 2 front passengers and 3 rear passengers. In my car 90% of the time I am the only person. Does it make any difference how many passengers ride in the car when I am putting air in my tires?
I want to do the best thing for safety reasons and also to ensure I get the most miles out of my tires. Thanks for your help!
