At long last the parts are here. I'm getting ready to replace the cam seals on our 2004 V70 2.5T. It has variable valve timing. The Haynes manual says to use a tool to hold the left end (drivers side) of the cams when loosening the sprocket bolts. Really ? Can't I use a piece of flat stock to hold the sprockets instead ? There is a 6mm X 1.0 thd hole in the head between the electrical connections to the VVT hardware.
