DIGITAL INFO MILEAGE GOING CRAZY 850 1994

Pulled the instrument cluster to replace the broken odometer gear. Tried to adjust odometer up to correct mileage. Unfortunately using dremel tool as shown on You Tube to adjust odometer wheels caused one to break a tooth so now regular odometer is junk.
My problem is that the digital odometer is showing mileage increasing in 10's at a very rapid rate. That's the one switched by the "info" knob. Anyone have a clue before I pull the cluster back out?
