Here's the story....
About 2 weeks ago, my engine cooling warning light came on. I looked under the hood, and my coolant resevoir was almost empty. I noticed that the cap was completely cracked so I replaced it and refilled the resevoir w/ fluid. The Volvo dealer said it was the obvious cause of the coolant loss and it should be fine. The engine never overheated...I noticed the temperature gauge remained normal. The light never came back on over the past two weeks. Today, however, I was driving home and the check engine light came on. All gauges looked fine, but I noticed an awful rotten egg smell coming from the exhaust (so did everyone outside!). When I got home, it stunk the whole garage up. The check engine light stayed on. I let it sit for about an hour and restarted it....same thing.
Is this a cooling problem still?
Should it not be driven at this point?
Any other ideas?
If you can diagnosis the problem, is this an expensive repair??
(which ones aren't....:) )
Your help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks....
