Hi, I just sold my '96 850 wagon (turbo with a 5spd. and 190K) and bought a '99 V70 awd cross country auto box, (wife needs to use the car occasionally) and 217K. the V70 is in really nice shape mechanically, looks to be mostly dealer maintained, runs very well and was cheap.
I'd like to change out t he rotors and pads as the rotors have an unbelievable ridge on them, (at least 1/8" maybe 3/16ths"). I am guessing they are the 280mm rotors is that a safe bet? (I'm just being lazy and rather not pull the wheel off just to measure the disc).
Also I changed the oil and the trans oil, but where the heck is the drain plug for the transfer case/bevel gear whatever and the rear diff? Do I have to get something to suck out the old oil? I ask because I have no idea when or if they were ever done. I have already bought the oils from Volvo, ($42.00/liter for the bevel gear, yikes!) So I might as well do it.
