Roof Trim Replacement 850 1995

I recently purchased a 1995 850 GLT and the trim that runs from the top of the rear window along the roof and along side the winshield is flaking and looks bad. Does anyone have any tips on replacing it or should I just let a shop do it. Any experiences would be very helpful.
