Cruise and radio remote control V70-XC70

The car is a V70, 2003. Everything was operating fine and all of a sudden I noticed I could not control the radio from the steering wheel, nor did cruise
control work. the horn and all the stalks work. I checked Fuse #23, it was ok.
I will check some of the other radio associated fuses when the rain stops.
any suggestions on where else to look are welcome.
