I have a black 850 Turbo Wagon (1994) (90K).
If outside temperature is hot (85 - 90 or more), initially the ECC blower will work when car is started. If I stop and turn car off, and then restart (ie at store), the ECC blower will not work, regardless if AC is off /on, if heater is off /on. I have waited 30 minutes before and the ECC would not work. I have driven for an extended period of time and the blower would not work. I can let the car set in the shade for over a hour and the blower will work the next time car is started. Without waiting for a cool down period, I can open hood, take out fuse number 5 and 31 and reinsert them and the blower will work the next time I start the car, without waiting an additional period of time. Does the car cool down quicker with hood up, or is it the fuses? The fuses are good, I have replaced the fuses just to make sure. Any suggestions? When the blower does work, the AC is very cold so I think the AC part is working.
