Hi,

Back in January I looked at a V70R Saffron at a local dealer. I got a call yesterday saying it was still there and the price had been significantly lowered.

It's well-equipped with 3rd seat, volvo-specific rear window shades, and even an IPD dual exhaust. However, the Alcantara on the steering wheel is worn smooth and dark, and the exhaust sounds pretty loud inside the cabin when you step on it.

Anyway, they're now asking $23,600, and it's got 49k miles on it. They've said they can do a "Volvo Certified" warranty on it, which would add 2 years/24k miles to the end of the factory warranty. What do ya'll think?

I don't *NEED* a car right now, but am planning on getting a V70 or similar in the next year or so, and like good deals. My concerns are safety, reliability, handling/performance, and fuel-efficiency. For those of you who have already experienced these cars, what's your opinion?

PS My wife, although she hasn't seen the car in person, indicates that she won't drive an orange car for any extended period of time :-)
