Different versions of the HU-803 stereo V70-XC70 01

I have a V70 T5 2001 with the HU-803 RDS stereo.

According to the (Swedish) car manual there are two versions of this stereo, version 1 and 2.

Why?

The main difference between them is that you cannot use the Dolby surround option in the radio mode in version 1 (the one I got). (The Dolby surround works only with CD in version 1).

Does anyone have more information?
