Hello All,

From a recent posting, I've sought help in finding web sites that provide listings for cars for sale by private owners. A family member is in the market for a replacement car. Alas, she is not in the market for a Volvo. There is a possibility a new versus used car may be purchased. I have found that it seems impossible to obtain the dealer invoice sheet. Back in 1996 when I purchased my first Volvo, Consumer Reports provided that information. Today it doesn't. It only provides an "average sampling" of what other CR members paid for a particular car in a given market. I've tried Edmunds, Kelly Blue Book and other car info cites, and they do not offer that information. They just solicit "price quotes" from dealers. Needless to say without knowing the dealer invoice price it is difficult to negotiate intelligently.


Does anyone know where you can obtain this information? Obviously I don't mind paying a fee to obtain this information. Thank you to all who reply. I know someday I'll have to purchase another Volvo, so knowing this information now will be very helpful.
