I'm replacing the o-rings on my injectors, hoping that is what my issue is (see earlier 300 posts about my 850).
But in the process of doing so, I came across something strange.
Now, as I understand it, a fuel injector has an O-ring at the top, and O-ring at the bottom, and sits in a seal.
So I remove my #1 injector (that is the injector that I believe is fouled or something). It looks a little dirty, etc...but then I look back into the hole where the injector was, I see something. A black, small grooved rubber washer. (http://i00.i.aliimg.com/img/pb/939/227/510/510227939_828.jpg is an example of what it looked like).
NONE of the other holes where the injectors go have it. It's not like they would've all fallen off of the injectors as I removed it and only one stayed in.
Could that have been done as a spacer of some sort by a previous mechanic?
Is it possibly something from inside the engine that somehow got jammed into the injector port (this seems HIGHLY unlikely to me)??
I watched a video online and it said nothing like that would come out, and like I said, none of the other injectors have that with them.
