What the heck happened to my skid plate? S80 2007

I just noticed today these gaps in my skid plate (both right and left sides) and have no idea how it happened. Anyone ever see this before? Is it an easy fix? What sort of shop do I take it to? Do I need to go to a bodyshop, regular mechanic or is this something simple that an oil change place can fix?
