Daughter's found a black 2010 S40 24i that she's become quite smitten with, on the Volvo dealer lot. 56K miles. This is the NA version and she sent me a photo of the engine compartment. The motor looks a bit different than the 2000 V70 I am used to and to which I provide service, including timing belt changes and tune-ups. But as I've read here, the S40 five cylinder is a proven engine, correct?
