I am about to change my antifreeze, but when reading the owner's manula, it says Use only Volvo type C.

However, I have owned some European cars in the )VW, BMW) and have used Prestone antifreeze, which is certainly sertified for Aluminum radiators/heaters, without any problems.

The question is:

Whats is Volvo Type C coolant?

Or is this a marketing trick to make the owners buy Volvo parts, as they have done so for a long time trying to convinve the customers that only Volvo parts fit the cra, while alot of their parts are made by someone else!

(example: Spark plugs made by Bosch, Brake by ATE, Fuel filters by Bosch, Engine Oil Filter by Mann etc.).
