Emission Question 850 1996

Hi everybody, Since yesterday my check engine light is on. The code indicated a fault in the pulsed secondary air injection system. I reset the codes but, How can I check if the solenoid air valve (the one behind the radiator) or the shut-off valve are function properly? Any help will be apreciated.
