WHY CAN'T I DO A BURNOUT? 850 1993

Hey

I have a non turbo 854 glt with k&n filter as the only engine mod. I can't do a burnout for the life of me. i tried stepping on the brake, then accelerating, but i just got a few screaching sounds, and thats it. the tires are already old, so i decided to try. It was raining hard today, so i decided to try it again. No dice this time. it should be easier to do in wet pavement. how do i do a burn out?
