My exhaust pipe broke away from the catalytic converter just at the point where the converter narrows to the width of the pipe. I don't see a bracket or anything to indicate that the pieces fit easily together, which frightens me into thinking that there may be an expensive requirement that I buy a new converter. I am hoping to go into the muffler shop armed with information so I know what they are talking about when they tell me their story. Any ideas what I can expect to hear?
