A/C periodically blows hot air. then restarts cold air. S70 2000

I've been having ac problems for quite some time. runs well for a while. then kicks off and blows hot air so we shut it off. then after maybe 30 minutes it comes back on and blows cold air. Has been recharged. Any other ideas?
