Re: Can't get oil drain plug off! S70 98

John,

There isn't any website for Fumoto Engineering that I know of but you can find all the info you need with the following address and phone #.

Fumoto Engineering of America

12328 Northup Way

Bellevue, WA 98005

Phone # (425)869-7771

I bought my oil drain valve in Mar'98. The price was $15.98 plus $2.00 S/H. If you mentioned that you were a VCOA member they took $2.00 off the price. When I tried to install it I couldn't tighten it up b/c the body of the valve interfered with the oil pan. I contacted them and was told to file the body a bit to give enough clearance to tighten it up. Being brass it was easy to do. Didn't have to remove much-just about 1/32nd of an inch. It worked great. The valve doesn't stick down at all from the oil pan as the drain hole is horizontal to the ground. No problem there. Send for info and you will get an order blank as well as a pamphlet describing the item. They offer 3 different valves for Volvos.

All 4 cyl. engines & other engines up to '75 use part #T-204

6 cyl. engines ('76-'82) use part # F-108

6 cyl. engines ('83 on). Turbo Diesel & 5 cyl. engines use part # F-104

Hope this helps you out.

Eddie W. in FL
