Re: Alpine Radio in '93 850 850 1993

Mark,

Before you go spending a whole lot of money, let me make a suggestion. I own a '94 850T Wagon and apparently have the same unit in my car. When the front speakers started going out, I knew I had trouble and went to the Volvo dealer after not having any luck in my town (Knoxville, Tn). They wanted me to swap my bad unit for a good one and pay them $250.00 plus tax. Ridiculous! After some searching, I found a guy in Atlanta who fixed my unit and sent it back to me for right at $100.00 (shipping included). His name is Ralph Marshall. Below is a copy of the email he sent to me when we started corresponding. It did take longer than the 2-3 days he says below...I think it was more like 10 days. His email address is (unless it's changed):

avs5295@pop.mindspring.com

Good luck,

Dave

"David, We do service the Volvo radios here at our shop. The cost usually

runs around 100.00 and our turn around time is 2-3 days. If you want to

ship the unit to us we would be glad to take care of that for you. If you

would like to talk to us, please call at 770-498-5000. Our business hours

are 10-7 m-f and 10-2 on sat. Thanks. Ralph Marshall"
