Drive Shaft Removal 2001 XC70 V70-XC70

Drive shaft has taken a dump. I have ordered a rebuilt one from Colorado Drive Shaft. Have all the bolts front and back removed but can't get the shaft to come loose.

Anyone done the job and how did you get the shaft to separate from the front angle gear and rear diff? Should I give it blows from a hammer or should I apply some heat to the collars.

Ideas?
