Aftermath of heater core failure V70-XC70 1999

The heater core on my 1999 v70 failed and in tne process dumped the contents of the most of the contents of the radiator in the carpets of the car. I installed a new heater core all is good. I attempted to vacume out as much liquid as possible but the carpet is still saturated. I know others have had this happen to them. What is the best option. A kick the correct direction would be appreciated.
