Hi Beam stick has to be held on and bottom half of dashboard lights and radio light are dim. S60 2004

My S60 is FWD but did not see that as an option so...
Recently I noticed I couldn't see the bottom lights (clock, trip computer readings) on my dashboard during the day time, they are very dim but the lights above for the RPM's and speedomwter are fine. Oddly the light readout on the radio statios is dim too, although it plays fine. When I switch to high beams, they come on but I have to hold the stick back, it won't stay in position by itself. Thought I had a broken combination lever as Volvo calls it. Replaced it and still have the same problem. What is wrong? Is there a bad relay somewhere that controls hi beams and some dashboard lights. The dimmer switch for the dashboard brightness is inoperable now too and I cannot turn the low beams off when I turn the headlight switch to daytime running lights like I used to be able to do. HELP!!
