Ok
Whilst thinking about my thunking down shift,in the meantime i changed the oil with mobil 3309 as recommended
Not flushed , just changed
Now the transmission has gone from a thunk to a clunk and intermittently on upshifts as well
NO flaring tho
I had seen posts where people did an oil change and it killed the transmission
I cant believe new oil is worse than old oil?
Should i put some old oil back (just kidding )
What happens in there? What dies? What have i done?
I did notice that the upper engine stay mount ( crappy square one ) is shot, so will replace that and consider a stealer trans software update and adaptive procedure.
Any way to do this without the stealership?
Back to the question, would a later trans be ok?Would it fit?
What did they change internally to fix these issues
Valve body?
solenoids?
Other?
Looking forward to some enlightenment and thanks Klaus and Rick for your advise
I have a 50yr old 122 and a 50 yr old 1800s still going strong
I have 2 2003 s60's and a 2009 V70
I wonder if the last three will reach any notable milestones
And in my cupboard, a white jacket with very long sleeves LOL
