Instrument cluster blank S60 2003

Our S60 has a bad instrument cluster. We have removed it many times modifying it to get it to display. Sometimes it would display, then go blank again. We have put one from a 2002 S60 from a junk yard that worked, but was blank when in our S60.

Does this mean we have a problem in the harness?
