Extreme cold and electrical issues V70-XC70 2004

2004 V70R 201k miles. Car has been running great in the cold Maine days recently. Last night I went to go to dinner and the light didn't come on when I opened the door. The car started but no dash lights, tach, directionals, seat heaters and the check engine light came on along with a dim system failure message. It was dark and below 0 so I didn't diagnose. Any ideas?
