My recent V70 acquisition came with a Pioneer DEH-X6600BT which the previous owner had installed saying the Volvo unit has died. I pretty much hated the Pioneer from day one and went on a quest for a replacement. What I got was a Sony XAV-AX100 (open box from Best Buy) and an Auto Vox Cam 6 backup camera [Sony $350, AutoVox $20] Notes: The previous head unit was a single DIN with a lower storage shelf in a double DIN opening. The Sony fit in the dash kit, but needed an additional bezel trim to look right. I had to modify (fabricate) a bezel cutting and gluing a Scosche for a Honda and a Metra 'universal' trim ring. I don't know how a new Scosche dash kit would had worked because the Sony has a space around its edge, and may have needed trim ring anyway. The harness from previous had to be rewired. The input for the camera had to be run from back to front, but there are Volvo directions for that -install 10 CD changer instruction #30730086 And many general instructions on YouTube. Also see removing tailgate trim and rear interior trim (dome light) Power for camera connected with fuse tap in cargo area. All working well, just need a new phone (mine is old OS) to run Android Auto.
Hope this helps someone
