My rotors and pads after 40K Miles V70-XC70 2005

Hi folks,

I would like to have your opinion on those rotors/pads, 3 yeard old, 40k miles on them.

- Brembo rotors
- Akebono pads

One of the most important suppliers in the US cannot explain to me why the front rotors ended up the way you see, considering that the pads are not worn out.

For your convenience, I have uploaded a .zip folder so that you can see the full set of pictures I took today.

Any insights?
I live in Canada, so yes, winters are harsh, but man... this is on both sides and the right rotor has one layer of metal that came out :(

Any thoughts on what might have generated this problem?
