Low oil pressure, Oil Pan brand, advice V70-XC70 2003

Low oil pressure light, repair shop quotes me $1000 for oil pan clean out. One problem is that I don't have a parts washer. I don't know if shops let you drop off your part to clean out for a fee. An alternative is getting a new oil pan. I see $650 or so for Volvo OE (steep!), and $100-$150 for no name/unknown brand to me. Anyone do this and find a good cheap brand/supplier? Any advice on this job? Thanks.
